Hayley Gray is a Vancouver-based writer and director. She is a graduate of Dalhousie University and Vancouver Film School and moves between narrative, documentary and commercial. Hayley’s work has won awards at festivals around the world aired on Telus Optik, Knowledge Network, CBC and AMI. Hayley’s NFB produced documentary UNARCHIVED premiered at VIFF. She wrote and directed Heritage Minute, PALDI: A PLACE FOR EVERYONE, Historica Canada’s most watched minute. Her latest short film SEND THE RAIN speaks to the devastating results of British Columbia’s Wildfires, it premiered on CBC, won the Golden Egg at the Reykjavik International Film Festival, the Golden Sheaf at Yorkton Film Festival and a DGC Award. She will be directing the feature version next summer with her cinematographer and long time collaborator Kaayla Whachell.
